They call what I do, ā€œalternative wellness.ā€ But in the heart of the Amazon, I was reminded: this is not alternative. This is original medicine. šŸŒæ

The tribe didnā€™t speak of healing as something to fix. They lived it. In the way they sang to the trees, in how they honored the river before taking from it, in the way community itself became the cure.

They reminded me that true wellness isnā€™t found in systems or trends. Itā€™s found in connection: to the earth, to spirit, to each other. We are not here to dominate nature. We are part of it.

I ate ants in the Amazon. šŸœ And honestlyā€¦ they were delicious!

But this post isnā€™t really about ants. Itā€™s about what happens when you stop living inside the borders of comfort. Every time I say yes to something that scares me ā€” a new food, a new country, a new version of myself ā€” I remember that fear isnā€™t a stop sign. Itā€™s an invitation.

An invitation to meet the parts of me I didnā€™t know existed. To expand what I believe is possible. To trade comfort for curiosity ā€” because thatā€™s where the magic lives.

For so long, I thought ā€œdoing the workā€ meant stillness and shadow work ā€” the sitting, the healing, the becoming.

But healing also looks like laughing until your stomach hurts, missing the target, trying again, and remembering that joy is medicine too.

Every adventure teaches me something about myself. This one reminded me that the wild, playful parts are just as worthy as the wise, grounded ones.
