In January 2015, I was a hot mess.
I had chronic constipation, bloating & gas, hypothyroidism, eczema, & weight I couldn’t lose AND a terrible diet, drinking way too much and could barely look at myself in the mirror. I felt hopeless.
That was when I truly decided I could NOT feel this way anymore and things had to change. I made my “No Plan B” commitment and decided to go all in for myself.
Hating how I felt everyday was not an option anymore. Continuing to make my body sick was not an option. Not living the life I expected of myself was NOT AN OPTION. I was done.
So I invested in myself. It started with a LOT of trial & error. Trends like Whole 30, paleo, food elimination, macro tracking, working out like crazy. And I started to see my body shape change BUT I still FELT terrible. This is when I realized that everything we’d been taught about “getting healthy” growing up was actually just chasing weight loss.
Turns out that the “eat less and move more” motto is actually NOT what we need to be doing to heal our guts and rebalance our hormones. Who knew!? 🙄
Eventually, once I knew I needed more, I went back to school to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner & Restorative Wellness Practitioner and THIS completely changed how I felt in my body and mindset.
I learned how our body works, whats goes wrong and how to fix it. All from leaders in the industry who had once been in my shoes!
My lifelong gut issues started to disappear, my periods became more regular & less painful and my energy was on an upward trend. I finally knew what it meant to actually FEEL GOOD and I was finally proud of the person I was.
**This was my turning point.**
My biggest take away from this experience:
**If you want the fast track to resolving your symptoms & feeling happier and healthier in your body, the quickest way is to learn from those who have been where you are.**
