Well I made it through the surgery ok. Now just to heal and continue on to the next phase of treatment. I am nervous and worried financially, with having to be off 6 weeks again. I thank my husband for being my rock and my kids for always showing love and everyone who has reached out to me and sent me prayers. Y’all are amazing and a huge support system. Love you all!

Well tomorrow is the day…Not gonna lie, I am nervous and scared. Checkin at 6am, not sure how long the surgery will take. One more step towards my freedom of cancer. I’ve got this! We’ve got this! Now to tell my brain that. Off to try and get sleep, it will come before I know it.

A quick update on my cancer journey.

Hello Friends and Family,

I know it has been awhile since my last update. Life has been good and trying to get back to normal, well as normal as it can get. I have started my treatments and seem to be doing well on them. The treatments I am on suppress my estrogen production. The most obviously major side effect I am experiencing is being shoved into menopause early. I'll tell you those hot flashes are a doozy. I also have trouble sleeping, but I am hoping this all slows down the longer I am in it.

I am just over 4 weeks in to having my expanders filled completely. Not gonna lie they have become increasingly more uncomfortable. i have been told by my doctor, once the implants are in I will be more comfortable. I am scheduled for surgery for September 28th to have my expanders removed and my implants put in. I am nervous and worried, not gonna lie. This will require me to be off work again for 6 weeks. Honestly, I think that is what worries me the most, is being off work. All thoughts and prayers will very much be appreciated. I will update again after my surgery. Love to all.

Hello everyone, on Monday, May 2nd, I had my follow up with my cancer surgeon after surgery. We went over my pathology report. When he got in there, he found a total of 3 areas of cancer. 2 areas of invasive carcinoma, one was 9mm and the other 3 mm. The last area was ductal carcinoma and was 2 mm. They removed 8 lymph nodes, as they were near the area of cancer. All lymph nodes were negative for cancer. He also stated that he removed all areas of cancer with clear margins. I now await my appointment with my oncologist. That’s all for now, I will update again soon. Xoxo

Hello everyone, wanted to send a post surgery update. Surgery went well and they feel there was no sentinel node involvement. They have taken tissue samples and lymph node samples. I am awaiting those results to find out the next steps for treatment. I had to spend two nights in the hospital as they found one of the pain meds they had me on I was having a reaction to. I am trying to regulate my pain and stay on top of it for now. I have my first post op appointment on Monday. Hopefully we’ll have more answers soon. Hello everyone I made it out of surgery yesterday ok. So far they have found no lymph node involvement. They are trying to regulate my pain. If the can’t regulate it I will be staying another night in the hospital.thank you all again for you well w wishes and prayer. ❤️🎗🥊
