He’s in Need, So We’re Asking

He’s in Need, So We’re Asking My husband Cory was born with a rare kidney disease & needing a transplant. Fast forward to April 2025 & now on the transplant list!💙

Years of appts, labs, scans, and overall living with the pain we heard those dreadful words of transplant and dialysis.

Donate And Save A Life! 💚

Why should one donate you ask? Life is not guaranteed, you can do all the things right in life but sometimes the conditions one is born with can’t be corrected without donation.

Not every donor has to be from someone who has passed away, donation can come from a living donor which makes all the difference

Contact us if you would like to get more information on if you’d qualify to donate not just to Cory but anyone

Today is World Transplant Day, and we're here to tell you that 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 "𝐲𝐞𝐬" 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Every year, organ, eye, and tissue transplants save and transform tens of thousands of lives—giving people a second chance to dance, to dream, to grow, and to love.

Today, we celebrate the incredible strength of transplant recipients, honor the selfless generosity of donors and their families, and recognize the life-saving work of healthcare heroes who make these miracles possible.

Take a moment today to learn more, register as a donor, and help spread the gift of life. https://www.donatelifenw.org/content/register-now

Once a hero, always a hero! He fought for our freedom and helped someone fighting for their life! ❤️

When June was younger, her brother, Brian, went into kidney failure. Her dad, a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, was able to be Brian's living kidney donor. After nearly 20 years with his donated kidney, Brian was in need of another transplant. Now much older, June was able to get tested to be her brother's living donor, and in 2005, June and Brian underwent a successful transplant. Thanks to the generosity of June and her dad, their family had many more years with Brian, but sadly, Brian passed away from organ failure in 2014. Now, June is an advocate for donation, volunteering and competing in the Transplant Games of America. 💙💚 Register your decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor and learn more about living donation at DonateLife.net

Been kinda MIA with our girls graduating but now is time to push!!! He’s numbers are still holding stable but needs a handful of people to get tested! Getting doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee but it’s a start! Knowing there is someone out there that could possibly be his match and waiting is excruciating! Be the match and save a life! 🙏🏻✝️ Cory Altman

I'm raising money to support 2025 Wichita Kidney Walk. 💚We are doing this to help raise awareness and potential donation of a kidney for my husband Cory who is needing a kidney transplant! Together, we can make a lasting impact 🙌 Will you consider making a donation today?

Why I Walk I walk because my husband Cory needs a kidney and too many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come. I walk to support the lifechanging work of the National Kidney Founda...

Today I had the privilege of volunteering for the Love Chloe Family Fun Run to help support childhood cancer. 💛 This little ones are/did fight their hardest battle ever only to win or lose in the end. This doesn’t affect just them, we all fight together, you never know when one little human can change your whole outlook on life! No one fights alone…..that’s why we continue to spread the world when someone is in need, like Cory needing a kidney! 💚 my favorite little frozen voice 🫶🏻

Welcome to our page!!! I’ve started this page numerous times, trying to find the right words, or how to even approach someone to start the conversation. My husband needs a kidney!

➖ For someone with kidney disease, asking someone to consider donating is extremely hard and impossible.
📢 A 100,000 people are waiting for a kidney transplant!!
📣 Only 18,000 get transplanted every year
🚫 4,000 die waiting each year which is 12 die every day, 1 dies every 2 hours
❌ Only 6,000 are living donors

▪️ is an initiative by the National Kidney Foundation to educate and raise awareness about living kidney donations and transplantation among kidney patients, family, friends, and even strangers.

🔊The big reason we are blasting this to social media is because we are scared to ask people if they would be interested in donating, it’s not really the best conversation starter😆 but given the opportunity to find a match that is living gives Cory the chance to have 20+ more years added to his life then the alternative.
❗️Cory watched his grandfather battle this same disease many years ago and after being on dialysis for a long period of time he was lucky enough to get a kidney transplant. This man who is no longer with us lived 20+ years after transplant that’s just AMAZING!!! 🌟
❗️Cory is choosing living donation first for transplant because yet he’s not quite ready for dialysis, he just doesn’t want to live his life going to dialysis for many days week after week.

❤️ As his support person I am not allowed to see if I could potentially be a donor because that would require us to both have major surgeries, hospital follow ups, living in KC for 2 weeks with appts everyday, and we love our girls but don’t think they are ready to take care of us both full time 🏥

🚁 This guy is not ready to quit flying as a Flight Paramedic full time, which he can’t do on dialysis!
He does live by the Luke Bryan song of “huntin, fishin, loving everyday” 🦃🦌🦆🪶 he’s not ready to give it all up for dialysis.
🩷He loves his girls so much, he wants to walk them down the aisle, have grandbabies, and sit on the front porch rocking the days away and not be hooked to dialysis.

🙏🏻 Thank you for listening to our story, if you feel compelled to see if you’re a match visit our many websites about kidney transplant and donation. 🩵
