Residents at Yadkin Nursing Center recently enjoyed a delicious activity where they made fruit kabobs using a variety of fresh fruits. Each resident played a part in prepping the kabobs, with individual fruit-cutting stations set up to make it a true hands-on culinary experience. 🍊🍇🍓

To top it off, everyone sipped on an Orange Crush Dirty Soda—bringing back the nostalgic flavor of an orange creamsicle. Some residents even shared their favorite old-fashioned recipes. The event was filled with laughter, stories and shared memories of time spent cooking with loved ones.

Moments like these remind us how powerful food and fellowship can be!

Residents at Bermuda Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center had a fantastic time during our recent Car Show, featuring an amazing lineup of vintage vehicles thanks to the DC Cruisers and other car lovers who helped make the event a hit! 🚗

From admiring the shiny chrome and colorful classics to enjoying refreshing snow cones, it was a day full of fun for our residents. 🍧

“To say I was pleased with this facility is an understatement. My sister was transferred here after a 3-month hospital stay. After a major stroke she needed total care. She was scared, cranky, and very demanding. She was also very sick with numerous treatments demanding attention. From admin to aide, I have no complaints about any staff I dealt with on almost a daily basis. Their hospice team stepped in and provided an additional resource I came to depend on. I will forever be grateful for the care they gave my sister and for the care they extended to me.”

Residents at Liberty Commons Rehabilitation Center recently enjoyed a fun and refreshing experience with 3Wheel Therapy! This unique program offers therapeutic rides for individuals who can’t use traditional bikes thanks to amazing volunteer pilots who do the pedaling. 🚲

Our residents got to cruise through scenic paths and enjoy the simple joy of movement and nature. It was a beautiful way to enjoy the outdoors, promote wellness and share some big smiles along the way!

We’re so grateful for this unique opportunity and for the compassionate volunteers who help make moments like these possible!
