That’s a wrap on this Japanese cult classic.
We rejuvenated this low-mileage Honda S2000 for its current owner. While not absolutely perfect, it’s a solid 9/10 as it sits—and a massive improvement from where it started.
Multiple dents were removed by Micheal Byrd of Absolute PDR. The car received a Level 1 polish overall, with Level 2 corrections on several panels. Headlights and the third brake light were restored to factory-fresh clarity, then protected with ceramic to keep that glow locked in. Glass was ceramic coated, along with all metal surfaces.
Inside, the interior received a much-needed steam vac and extraction, followed by thorough conditioning. All leather surfaces were treated to preserve the near-mint 24-year-old interior.
The biggest challenge—and a first for my personal clients, though not for my own vehicles—was wheel reconditioning. A used car dealer had sprayed the factory OEM rims with Plasti-Dip, clearly to hide blemishes and curb damage. Once removal began, it became obvious why the coating was so thick: much of it was baked in and improperly applied.
After several hours and multiple techniques, we reached the point where full removal would require sandblasting and metal reconditioning on a lathe and grinder. Since the owner plans to upgrade to modern wheels and brakes, he authorized us to do the best possible restoration without going nuclear. More sanding followed, then refinishing with a commercial-grade wheel paint I’ve trusted for years.
The result? Good—not excellent—but far better than peeling Plasti-Dip and completely presentable until the wheel upgrade happens.

As of this post, only three bookings remain for April. Let’s get you scheduled—because before you know it, we’ll be back into the warm months, followed by dead bugs and bird bombs all over your unprotected paint!
