I'll be honest: I have a biiiiiig temptation to hide behind admin.

There was a time I was spending 60–70% of my time on it. Answering emails. Fiddling with my website. Tweaking program details. All important, just not the real work.

The real work is the mentoring session where something shifts. The class where community forms. Writing the book.

AI and my assistant carry the second list. That's what frees me up for the first one.

I made a list of every business idea I had.

Retreats. Teacher trainings. A podcast. A book. Workshops. Speaking. And Gloga—a glow-in-the-dark yoga class I genuinely still think about.

The problem wasn't a shortage of ideas. It was too many. And when everything feels equally possible, nothing moves.

I tried something different. I sat down with AI and just thought out loud.

What came back felt true. Like looking in a mirror.

Dawn Cannon went from C-suite banking to trauma-informed yoga. Then she built a real business around it.

She just launched Pathways to Peace, a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training rooted in nervous system science and polyvagal theory, now Yoga Alliance approved.

It runs in 2026 out of Sunflower Studio in Taylorsville, Utah.

I told him he had the wrong kid.

He disagreed. (He was right.)

A teacher came to me after two years of watching from a distance.

She'd been calling me her "expander," the person who showed her what was possible.

When she finally reached out, I asked what made her work different from anyone else doing what she does.

She went quiet.

Not because her work wasn't different. It was.

But she'd never been asked to name the thread.

That gap is usually where the business gets hard.
