Lookie at these thriving 8 week old March twins born at Sego Birth Suite at 41+ weeks! One has grown 45 percentiles and the other has tripled his growth chart percentile since birth! Feeling proud and happy to offer the parents a route outside the Industrial Birth Complex. This involved an enormous responsibility by us and the parents. Had a few different docs we consulted with and were supervised by. Lots of looking in on these guys at the end of pregnancy.

As Utah licensed midwives, we cannot offer twin and breech delivery. In cases where parents wish for an option outside of hospital / surgical birth, we retain a medical doctor outside the system to supervise and attend these cases. The family gets midwife continuity and involvement and a chance at a gentle normal physiological birth under supervision of a medical provider.

If you want us, keep us in mind when planning a baby. We may close at Christmas 2026 which will involve not accepting due dates December 10th through January 15th, 2027. It’s a special day for the midwives families also, and we always windup with a Christmas Eve or Christmas baby every single year. Plan your conceptions right now accordingly! ❄️🎄

Come set up Sego Birth Suite overnight with me. We have a woman in early labor and I had a feeling it could be smart to head in and ready the place and rest there rather than have the notorious midwife cortisol spike from a 1am birth call to my home and need to drive real fast in. I always wondered what it might be like to have eight of me, to get it all done.

Midwives Heather and Nicole train birth assistant Sierra blood draws. She did amazing! Heather wanted to pull her own Vitamin D so used the opportunity for a teaching moment! Heather used to be a passer-outer with these but then she got better handling it after she learned to do them herself. She needed the mystery removed to tolerate it.
