Fire cider is an herbal tonic that's used to boost immunity, help with digestion, and warm you up on a cold day.

Fire Cider Recipe:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup chopped fresh horseradish root
1/2 cup chopped fresh ginger root
1/2 cup chopped fresh turmeric root (or 1/4 cup dried turmeric)
1/2 cup chopped garlic cloves
1 medium onion, chopped
2 organic lemons, zest, and juice
2 organic oranges, zest and juice
2-4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
2-4 sprigs of fresh thyme
1-2 tsp black peppercorns
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
Raw organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
Raw honey to taste (optional)

Instructions:

Place all the chopped herbs, roots, citrus zest, and spices in a quart-sized glass jar.
Pour in enough apple cider vinegar to cover the ingredients by about an inch.
Seal the jar with a lid or plastic wrap (use a piece of wax paper under the lid to prevent corrosion).
Store the jar in a cool, dark place for about 3-4 weeks, shaking it daily.
After steeping, strain the mixture into another clean jar or bottle, and add honey to taste if you like a little sweetness.
Store your Fire Cider in the fridge for long-term use.
How to Use Fire Cider:

Take a shot (1-2 tablespoons) daily to boost your immune system.
Add it to salad dressings or marinades for an extra kick of flavor.
Use it as a wellness shot when you're feeling under the weather.

Did you know that gut health plays a crucial role in thyroid function?

Addressing any underlying gut issues can significantly improve thyroid health. So, make sure to nourish your gut with wholesome, fiber-rich foods, and consider incorporating gut-friendly probiotics into your routine.

Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that has been used for centuries to help balance hormones and support thyroid function. It aids in reducing stress levels, which can have a positive impact on your overall well-being.

B vitamins are powerhouse nutrients that are essential for proper thyroid function. Vitamin B12, in particular, plays a crucial role in the production of thyroid hormones. Ensure you're getting enough B vitamins from natural sources like leafy greens, legumes, and whole grains.

Selenium is a mineral that acts as an antioxidant and is involved in thyroid hormone synthesis. Incorporate selenium-rich foods into your diet, such as Brazil nuts, seafood, and whole grains. Just 2-3 Brazil nuts can provide you with your daily selenium needs.

Astragalus is another powerful herb known for its immune-boosting properties and its ability to support the thyroid gland. Astragalus has been used in traditional medicine for centuries to promote overall vitality and balance. Consider adding Astragalus tea or tincture to your wellness routine.

Remember, these natural remedies are meant to complement a well-rounded approach to thyroid health. It's essential to work closely with a qualified healthcare professional or clinical nutritionist for your personalized needs.

Heart disease, obesity, diabetes, allergies, asthma, chronic fatigue, cancer, and autoimmune disease are all inflammatory diseases.

What is causing all of this inflammation?

It mostly is our food--too many inflammatory foods and not enough anti-inflammatory foods.

Food is a powerful form of medicine and incorporating the right foods can make a huge impact!

Omega 3 fats are powerful anti-inflammatories. Spices including turmeric, ginger, rosemary and cinnamon are anti-inflammatory powerhouses as well.

Also, always include a wide range of colorful fruits and vegetables as well as immune-regulating and cancer-fighting mushrooms. Varieties include sh*take, maitake, reishi, chaga, turkey tail and lions mane.

These “health” foods actually Drive inflammation in the body. Avoid these and opt for better options!

Rather than fruit juices, juice your own vegetables or just drink water with a few slices of lemon or cucumbers and mint for flavor.

Rather than vegetable oils, stick to olive oil and avocado oil. These oils help to lower inflammation in the body.

Rather than farmed fish, look for wild-caught varieties that are higher in inflammation fighting omega 3 fatty acids.

Rather than margarine which is made of pro-inflammatory oils, opt for small amounts of grass-fed butter or ghee or coconut oil.

Soy proteins such as those in meat substitutes are very processed and inflammatory. Opt for a organic, unprocessed soy products instead.

What is Leaky Gut Syndrome?

Leaky gut, also known as intestinal hyper-permeability, refers to a condition where the lining of the digestive tract becomes more permeable than usual. This increased permeability allows toxins, undigested food particles, and bacteria to leak into the bloodstream, triggering an inflammatory response. Over time, this inflammation can lead to various health issues. Understanding the factors contributing to leaky gut can help you make informed choices about your diet and lifestyle.

🥦 Nourishing Your Gut:
1️⃣ Fiber-rich Foods: Include an abundance of fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains in your diet. These foods provide essential nutrients and promote a healthy gut microbiome.
2️⃣ Fermented Foods: Incorporate fermented options like sauerkraut, kefir, yogurt, and kimchi. They contain beneficial probiotics that support gut health.
3️⃣ Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Consume sources like fatty fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts. Omega-3s possess anti-inflammatory properties, aiding in gut healing.
4️⃣ Bone Broth: Sip on homemade bone broth, rich in collagen and amino acids, which help repair the gut lining.
5️⃣ Avoid Triggers: Identify and eliminate foods that may exacerbate your symptoms, such as processed foods, refined sugars, gluten, and dairy. Listen to your body and personalize your approach.

💆‍♀️ Lifestyle Tips:
1️⃣ Stress Management: Chronic stress can disrupt the gut-brain axis. Engage in activities like yoga, meditation, or hobbies you enjoy to reduce stress levels.
2️⃣ Sleep Well: Prioritize quality sleep, as it aids in gut repair and restoration.
3️⃣ Physical Activity: Regular exercise improves gut motility and overall digestive health. Find activities that you love and make them part of your routine.

🌟 Remember, healing your gut takes time and patience

✨ Your gut health matters! Nurture it with love and care, and you'll reap the benefits of improved overall health and well-being.
