God is good 😊

Craziest thing happened today…..after quite some time, I decided to go for a jog at memorial park with my trusty companion Astro. It was hot 🥵 but we made it around the track and back to the car.

While placing Astro in the car, I must have gotten side tracked because I ended up locking him in the car with the windows rolled up.!! I reached for my phone to call for help and guess what???? My phone was dead!! How does this happen?

Thirsty dog locked in a hot car with all windows rolled up in the middle of a hot Houston summer!!! I was horrified!

I managed to stop a random runner which was kind enough to let me barrow her phone to call the police. Afterwards, I thanked the lady and she left, but unfortunately the police never arrived 🤷🏻‍♀️

After a few minutes another lady runner came by to offer assistance. She was also kind enough to let me use her phone to call Reggie which then called AAA….triple AAA was going to be an hour.

Reggie in route and Astro panting like crazy, I was very nervous and thought about breaking the car window. The second Samaritan assured me it would be ok and advised me not to break my car window.

In the meantime a third Samaritan stopped to offer assistance while second samaritan left for a Bible study class. Leaving she said she would pray for me.

The third samaritan offered to stay with me as he called several lock smiths in the area. During the ordeal he also offered prayer and said we would pray that help would arrive in less than 15 minutes and that Astro would be fine.

Lo and behold 10 minutes later a lock smith arrived and opened the car.

Astro was extremely hot and thirsty, but was fine.

As the third Samaritan left, he said “remember there is still good people in the world”. Needless to say my heart felt light I was reassured that god is always with me.
