But overtime we eat a variety, it’s not about what you ate in a day or a week. But what is the pattern looking like over time? Is the real question.

Simple and Easy Dinner

Serves 4-5
Ingredients
1 lb Italian Sausage
8oz Whole Wheat Pasta
3 cups Spinach and Spring Mix
1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
Grated Parmesan Cheese 🧀

Directions
1. Cook meat on median heat. Use spatula o separate the meat into little pieces.

2. While the meat is cooking, follow the directions to cook the pasta.

3. When meat is cooked thoroughly add spinach and mushrooms and sauté.

4. Once the veggies are cooked add in the pasta sauce. When the sauce is warmed it is ready!

5. To plate add pasta, meat/veggie sauce, and top with some grated parmasean cheese.

Normally it’s motivational Monday, but it is National Eating Disorders Awarness Week.

I am helping to create awareness because eating disorders and disordered eating increased over the years and are not usually screened for or taken into consideration.

Just some general info.

➡️Eating disorders don’t have a look. Any age, weight, race, shape, or gender can have an eating disorder. ⠀

➡️There are many different eating disorders with a range criteria and risk factors. ⠀

➡️The consensus is that they are caused by biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors. ⠀

➡️About 10 million men and 20 million women are suspected to have an eating disorder at some point in their lives through survey. ⠀

This is one version of a Chai Tea ☕️🫖Latte. In mine I used HEB brand Mootopia and English Black Tea. There was a variation of spices you’ll find in the ingredients list. As my sweetener, I used maple syrup! It was a very nice tea for a cold day! 🌬🙂

Has it Been “It’s Monday, yeah!” 👍⠀

Well so much can change from moment to moment! It can go quickly from Monday, meh to Monday, yeah ya! ⠀

That’s the same with meals and snacks “Some days you can be on a roll with getting meals and snacks or other days leave you asking “what’s for dinner, what’s for lunch?” ⠀

When you do have some solid snacks and meals throughout the day that can help so much. It may take away the feeling of being out of control around food, regulate blood sugar, and so much more. What motivates you to listen to your hunger? ⠀

At My San Antonio Nutrition, I offer 1:1 support or grocery store assistance to help you find snacks and meals if that’s a struggle. I know it can be a struggle for many people. ⠀

Just like it’s totally normal to not have consistent emotions on any day of the week, it’s also normal to go through struggles with food. ⠀

Monday’s can just feel more meh sometimes because you just finished a lovely weekend! So there’s many reasons why food struggles happen too! ⠀

I’m Catherine Valadez, a Registered Dietitian, wife, mom of three kiddos and four fur babies! 🐾🐾🐹🐹 I’m from San Antonio, TX.

I had to take a break from social media for a little bit. I think the pandemic took many parents and many people in general for a bumpy ride. If you lost a loved one, I am sorry for your loss.
