Cephalexin as directed. Your doctor will tell you how much and how often you should take Cephalexin. This will depend on the type of infection. The dose varies from patient to patient. Cephalexin can be taken with or without food. It is usually taken every 6 hours (four times a day) or every 12 hours (twice a day) for 7-10 days. The capsules and tablets should be swallowed whole and taken with a full glass of water. To clear up your infection completely, take Cephalexin for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days. If you miss a dose of Cephalexin, take it as soon as possible.

Metformin not only lowers blood glucose levels, which in the long term reduces the risk of diabetic complications, but it also lowers blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels and does not cause weight gain the way insulin and some other oral blood-glucose-lowering drugs do. Being overweight, having high cholesterol, and high triglyceride levels all increase the risk of developing heart disease, the leading cause of death in people with type 2 diabetes. Another advantage of metformin is that it does not cause hypoglycemia (low blood glucose) when it is the only diabetes medicine taken. Metformin is typically taken two to three times a day, with meals. The extended-release formula (Glucophage XR) is taken once a day, with the evening meal.
