Our Year 2 Fiesta medals have officially arrived at SarahCare at Encino Park… and let’s just say they are too good not to show off. But for now, they’re staying under wraps. We’re getting everything ready and can’t wait to share them with our community very soon!

Falls can be frightening—not only because of the injuries, but because they can affect confidence, independence, and overall quality of life. They also have a huge impact on our health care system.

“Falls and falls-related injuries cost $80 billion to Medicare annually. In the next five years, falls’ costs to Medicare are projected to go up to $100 billion,” NCOA’s Dorothea Vafiadis shared in a recent Comcast Newsmakers interview.

That’s why falls‑prevention efforts matter so much. 💙

In the interview, she talks about programs that can help older adults reduce their fall risk and stay safe at home and in their communities.
