I’m an equine bodyworker because I believe every horse—and every animal—deserves to feel their best.

Bodywork isn’t just about ā€œmassage.ā€ It’s about helping horses move freely, relieve tension, recover from injuries, and perform at their peak. It’s about comfort, wellness, and giving animals a voice through touch.

I do this work because I love seeing a horse drop their head, sigh, or soften their eyes when we release a tight spot. I love when owners tell me their horses are moving better, feeling happier, or performing stronger after a session.

My goal is simple: to help animals feel good in their bodies so they can live, work, and play without pain.

Thanks for following along on my journey. If you’ve ever wondered whether bodywork might help your horse, dog, or other animals, I’m always happy to chat and answer questions!

If you’re not willing to put in the work during the week, you can’t expect your horse to perform on the weekend.

So many performance issues stem from lack of strength — not attitude, not a ā€œsmall brainā€, not tack fit — just not enough training.

Your horse is an athlete.
And like any athlete, they need consistent conditioning to stay strong, balanced, and injury-free.

Even 30 minutes, 3 times a week can make a huge difference in muscle development, coordination, and confidence.

Don’t wait until problems show up in the arena.
Put in the time. Build the foundation. Protect your partner. šŸŽšŸ”„

ā˜€ļø Texas Heat is Here – Let’s Talk SALT šŸ§‚

As temps climb, salt isn’t just a nice option — it’s essential for your horse’s health.

Salt helps:
āœ… Maintain hydration
āœ… Encourage drinking (especially with increased sweat loss)
āœ… Support nerve and muscle function
āœ… Prevent issues like colic, tying up, and heat stress

If your horse is sweating, they’re losing both water and electrolytes. And without enough salt, they won’t replace what’s lost — or even want to drink as much as they should.

Pro Tip: Offer free-choice plain white salt and consider adding loose salt or electrolytes to grain or soaked hay cubes, especially after hard work or long hauls.

Got questions or want to make sure your horse is summer-ready? I’m just a message away. šŸ’¬

Meet Twister — one of my absolute favorite athletes!
This handsome guy belongs to The Real Deal Performance Horses out in New Braunfels, and he’s been working hard in and out of the show ring — earning medals, turning heads, and making us all proud.

Twister’s success isn’t just from great training — it’s also from the consistent care and maintenance that keep him feeling his best. Regular bodywork plays a huge role in keeping him supple, balanced, and ready to perform at his peak.

It’s an honor to be part of his team and to work alongside an owner who prioritizes his wellbeing as much as his wins. Go Twister!

Should you get your horses hooves taped?

The coronary band is the soft tissue ring at the top of the hoof where all hoof growth begins. It’s rich in blood vessels and nerves, and it plays a major role in the health of the entire hoof capsule.

Using kinesiology tape around this area can help support:
• Circulation: Encourages healthy blood flow to promote hoof growth and repair.
• Lymphatic Drainage: Helps reduce fluid buildup in the lower limb.
• Neuromuscular Awareness: Gently stimulates the area to support better limb communication and proprioception.

This technique is especially helpful for horses with:
• Slow or uneven hoof growth
• Lower limb swelling or inflammation
• Previous injuries affecting movement or circulation
• Support needs during rehab

Taping is not a cure-all, but when used correctly as part of a bodywork or rehab plan, it can provide meaningful support.

Have questions about how it works or if it’s right for your horse? I’m happy to chat!

When should you find a bodyworker for your horse?
Here are a few signs your horse might need some hands-on support:

• Stiffness or resistance under saddle
• Difficulty picking up leads or bending
• Short or choppy stride
• Trouble holding up hooves for the farrier
• Behavioral changes — suddenly grumpy or spooky
• Uneven muscle development or posture
• Just not ā€œquite rightā€

Equine bodywork isn’t just for recovery — it’s for preventing injury, improving performance, and helping your horse feel their best day to day.

If any of these sound familiar, it might be time for a session.

It All Starts with the Pelvis…
Did you know the pelvis is one of the most influential structures in your horse’s entire body?

It’s the foundation for power, balance, and movement. When the pelvis is out of alignment or restricted, it can create a ripple effect — from tight shoulders and uneven hips to sore backs and short strides. Even behavioral issues can stem from pelvic discomfort!

Regular bodywork helps keep the pelvis moving freely, which means your horse can move more comfortably, perform better, and stay sound longer.

A healthy pelvis = a happy, functional horse.
Is your horse showing signs of compensation? Let’s take a look.

05/03/2025

Does your horse have a dip in front of the withers or a sway back? That’s your topline talking.
•A strong topline = better posture, smoother movement, and less injury risk.
•Tight muscles, sore backs, and gut discomfort can all affect it—bodywork helps reset the foundation so your horse can rebuild from the core.
