Please welcome one of the newest member of our cardboard kid family- WhataGirl!

Cardboard Kids are more than two-foot-tall cardboard figures. They represent one of the thousands of children that are abused and neglected at the hands of adults in our community each year. They help start the conversation on talking to our children about child abuse and neglect by creating a visual symbol for children to identify with.

Did you know that childhood obesity rates have tripled over the past 30 years? One of the major contributing factors is the overconsumption of junk food and sugary drinks.

At Personal Pediatrics, we believe that developing healthy eating habits early in life is key to preventing obesity and chronic health conditions. Encouraging children to eat a variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains can help to support their growth and development while reducing their risk of developing obesity-related health issues.

Huge thanks to the City of Alamo Heights Municipal Government for hosting a fantastic Fun Run in '09 that benefited the ACS.
