Smart Barre practices concentrated movements that function as deep sculpting tools to strengthen and lengthen muscles. As a total body workout, this class fuses principles of ballet, Pilates, and yoga to target body areas in which women struggle- the core, hips, thighs, seat and arms. A traditional ballet barre is used to help maintain balance and provide resistance, however, you will not need a tutu in this class to achieve the long, lean look of a dancer. In addition to the barre, light weights, a playground ball, and a cushy mat are used.

🔥 Targets core, obliques & shoulders

Form Check:
✅ Body in one long line - no sagging or piked hips
✅ Core pulled in tight like you’re zipping up your abs
✅ Hips rotate side to side with control, not momentum
✅ Move slow + steady to keep the work in your core

Modification Tip (knees down):
✔️ Knees gently rest on the mat
✔️ Same strong plank shape from shoulders to knees
✔️ Focus on range of motion, not speed

FORM FRIDAY✨ Kneeling Frog Press✨
Targets- Glutes, hamstrings, abdominals, triceps and shoulders

To set up:
✅Kneel on the carriage on all fours facing the back
✅Shoulders and hips square, spine in line with the center of the carriage
✅Place your focus/target heel on the high handle behind you, elevated and rotated

To execute:
✅Push against the high handle with slow and controlled movement while keeping shoulders and hips in place, release with tension stopping the knee in line with the hip
-Repeat-

As a total body workout, this class fuses principles of ballet, Pilates, and yoga to target body areas in which women struggle- the core, hips, thighs, seat and arms.

A traditional ballet barre is used to help maintain balance and provide resistance, however, you will not need a tutu in this class to achieve the long, lean look of a dancer. In addition to the barre, light weights, a playground ball, and a cushy mat are used. Our method is an efficient, upbeat workout that you will find a “Smart” use of time.

We also offer Smart Bounce. Smart Bounce is a fun and unique class that will take your barre workout to the next level. Performed on mini trampolines, this class not only incorporates elements from Pilates and barre to burn calories and sculpt long, lean muscles, but it is also detoxifying as we turn up the cardiovascular intensity. Choreographed and synced to upbeat music, this class is sure to burn tons of calories and leave you with wanting to Bounce with us again.
