We are saddened by the passing of Bob Kafka, a tireless advocate for disability rights, with whom we worked to successfully increase caregiver wages. His unwavering commitment to improving caregiver wages and fighting for equality has left an indelible mark on our community. Bob’s legacy will continue to inspire us all.

Bob Kafka was an organizer with ADAPT (American Disabled for Attendant Programs Today), a group which advocates for policy change to support people with disabilities.

Good Morning Everyone,
The VA (Veterans Affairs) is imposing drastic cuts—49% since 2024—for home health services in Texas, threatening access to care for one million Veterans, especially in rural areas. These reductions make it nearly impossible for providers to sustain services, forcing Veterans into institutions and increasing costs for the VA.

UnitedHealthcare gives out incentives to reward great care, encourage high standards, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen provider partnerships and we’re proud to announce that LifeSpan’s San Antonio office has been honored by UnitedHealthcare Texas Health Plan for our outstanding performance in the 2024 Home Health program! ✨
 
Mr. Gutierrez, UHC’s Senior Program Manager, visited our office to personally present a plaque of recognition, along with UHC-branded items and treats for the team 🍩🧁📝.
This recognition is based on our contributions and quality of care delivered throughout last year….and here’s the exciting part:
