1,000+ students. 21 schools and community organizations. A stronger, more resilient San Antonio.๐Ÿ’š

Thanks to the support of our county leaders through ARPA funding, more than 1,000 students are now certified Teen Mental Health Champions, equipped with the knowledge and confidence to support themselves and their peers.

Last week, we had the opportunity to welcome Bexar County leaders for a site visit to share the impact of this program and personally thank them for their investment in youth mental health. They even got a firsthand look at what a Teen Mental Health Champion graduation feels like!

Together, weโ€™re building a stronger, more mentally healthy community. ๐Ÿ’™

Our favorite mental health lessons from Olympic gold medalist, Alysa Liu! ๐Ÿ’™

Alysa is proof that rest is one of the most important forms of self-care!

Through taking a step back, detaching herself from the outcome and showing that struggling is a part of everyday life she reached Olympic gold in a sport she retired from years ago. ๐Ÿ’š

Let this be your sign to:
๐Ÿ’™Rest
๐Ÿ’šNever be afraid to set boundaries
๐Ÿ’™Find beauty in the struggle
๐Ÿ’šNot let an outcome define you

This week we said farewell to Doug Beach, who served as Executive Director for the last five years. Thanks to his leadership and the dedication of our staff, board, and volunteers, NAMI Greater San Antonio has reached more people than ever before.

To celebrate his impact, we are launching a Legacy of Hope Campaign inviting individuals to make a donation in honor of Doug's dedication to NAMI Greater San Antonio. Your gift helps ensure the values of compassion, leadership, and hope Doug championed every day continue through NAMI GSAโ€™s free support groups, education, and community outreach.
