For 2022, everyone who made the Boston Qualifying minimum standards for consideration got accepted into the race….first time since 2013 that happened— runners were having to beat the standard by ~2.5 to ~7.5 minutes to get in before the field filled for a bunch of years… Congrats to everyone who got their BQ for the April 2022 edition 🙌

For the first time since 2013, the “cut-off” time is 0 minutes and 0 seconds. We’re proud to share that all qualified athletes who submitted an application Nov. 8-12 will be accepted into the 126th Boston Marathon, provided their qualifying time is verified.

Nearly 24,000 applications were submitted over the five-day registration window and we are excited to welcome this dedicated group of qualifiers back to the roads of Hopkinton to Boston on the third Monday in April for the first time in three years.
