Not all moles are created equal, knowing the signs of a suspicious mole can save your skin. 🩺

The ABCDEs of moles are key to spotting potential skin cancer early:

A – Asymmetry: One half doesn’t match the other.

B – Border: Irregular, scalloped, or poorly defined edges.

C – Color: Multiple shades or uneven color.

D – Diameter: Larger than 6mm (about the size of a pencil eraser).

E – Evolving: Any change in size, shape, color, or symptoms like itching or bleeding.

If you notice any of these signs, it’s time to schedule an in-office skin exam. Early detection is the best protection!

Have a dermatology visit coming up? Here are a few tips to ensure you come prepared and get the most out of your appointment:

👉️ Prior to your appointment:
Jot down any skin issues, changes, or questions ahead of time—whether it’s a suspicious mole, persistent acne, or your skincare routine. This ensures you won’t forget anything important during your visit

👉️ Arrive with A Clean Face:
Skip the makeup so your dermatologist can evaluate your skin in its natural state.

👉️ Bring Your Skincare Products:
Pack your current skincare lineup or snap photos of the labels. Your dermatologist can provide insight into what’s working, what’s not, and what to add or avoid.

👉️ Be Ready to Share Your Medical History:
Skin health is linked to your overall health. Be prepared to discuss your medical history, medications, allergies, and family history of skin conditions or skin cancer.

👉️ Wear Comfortable, Accessible Clothing:
If a full-body skin check is on the agenda, opt for clothing that’s easy to remove. And don’t forget to remove nail polish—it makes it easier for your derm to check for skin changes under your nails.

We’re here to help your skin look and feel its best. Want to learn more or to schedule an appointment? Reach out to us👇️

Noticing hair loss on an everyday basis? You may be experiencing pattern hair loss — the most common type of hair thinning in both men and women.

What it is:
Pattern hair loss happens when hair follicles gradually shrink, producing thinner strands until growth slows or stops.

Common signs:
➡️ Thinning at the crown or temples (men)

➡️ Widening part or overall thinning on top (women)

➡️ Gradual, not sudden, hair loss

The earlier it’s addressed, the better the chances of slowing or improving hair growth.

That’s why our clinical research team is currently enrolling qualified participants for a pattern hair loss study. If you think you might have it, this could be an opportunity to explore potential new treatment options — at no cost. Learn more using the link below!
