You may be at higher risk for developing skin cancer if you have:

• a personal history of skin cancer
• a family history of melanoma
• fair skin, light eyes, or freckles
• a history of blistering sunburns
• frequent sun exposure or tanning bed use
• a large number of moles or unusual moles
• a weakened immune system
