❤️ RED VELVET CHEESECAKE — FULL PERFECT RECIPE
🍪 Ingredients
Red Velvet Cake Layer
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup buttermilk
¾ cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1–2 tsp red food coloring
Cheesecake Layer
24 oz (680g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 tbsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs
Cream Cheese Frosting (Optional but AMAZING)
4 oz cream cheese
4 tbsp butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
🍰 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Red Velvet Cake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, mix buttermilk, oil, eggs, vanilla, and food coloring.
Combine wet + dry ingredients until smooth.
Pour into a 9-inch springform pan.
Bake 20–22 minutes.
Let cool completely.
2️⃣ Make the Cheesecake Layer
Reduce oven to 325°F (160°C).
Beat cream cheese until smooth.
Add sugar, sour cream, and vanilla.
Add eggs one at a time — don’t overmix.
Pour cheesecake batter over the red velvet cake layer.
3️⃣ Bake the Cheesecake
Wrap the pan in foil.
Place in a water bath.
Bake 55–65 minutes, until edges are set but center jiggles slightly.
Let cool 1 hour at room temp, then chill 6 hours or overnight.
4️⃣ Add the Cream Cheese Frosting (Optional)
Beat cream cheese + butter until creamy.
Add powdered sugar + vanilla.
Spread evenly over the cheesecake.
