Last time I was in Nepal, I manifested a helicopter ride!
The seed was planted when I was in the domestic airport as Kave and I were waiting for a flight to eastern Nepal, on our way to pilgrimage to a Kali temple.
He pointed to a door - thatโs where travelers go to wait for taking a helicopter.
That would be cool to do someday, I said.
Just a fleeting dream of being in the air and so close to the Himalayas at the same time.
Fast forward to when my group arrived. While October usually brings clear and stable skies in Nepal and is ideal for trekking, unstable patters had been coming through.
The flights were delayed for the morning of our planned departure, with high potential of being cancelled. Kave was on the phone pulling strings and figuring out how we would be able to stay on our planned itinerary.
Do you think everyone would be open to going by heli? -he texted me early in the morning.
He quoted an unbelievably low price for a private ride, which was a small helicopter being charted by a group stranded in Lukla that would be empty on its way to pick them up.
Everyone in our group was game, and the next thing you know we were being led out to the helipad, and on to a nimble 6-person mini-aircraft.
The next 40 minutes was an exhilarating ride as we lifted up and out of Kathmandu, moving deeper into the surrounding hill country and towards the base of the Himalayas, with the towering peaks coming nearer.
The farmland, earthen homes, and hilltop temples felt so close.
Have you ever felt like you manifest things when you dream them and let them go?
Join me in Nepal this fall for both intentional and unexpected adventures. More than trekking, weโll connect through ritual and invite our own evolution of self in the energetically potent places we visit in our pilgrimage.
