Rivalry on the rink, teamwork in the clinic 🤝🔥🏒 Our providers Dr. Doroudchi (La Jolla) and Dr. Tchekmedyian (Torrance/Long Beach) stepped out to cheer on their respective teams at yesterday’s matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks. Fun fact: these two first met back in undergrad at UCLA (swipe for the throwback pic 🤓) and both joined MAA after completing their Allergy & Immunology fellowships last year.

Wondering what the teal pumpkins are all about this Halloween season? 👻✨

The Teal Pumpkin Project is an initiative aimed at making Halloween a more inclusive and safe experience for children with food allergies and other dietary restrictions.

By placing a teal pumpkin on your doorstep, you signal to trick-or-treaters and their families that you offer non-food treats, such as small toys, stickers, or glow sticks, which can be enjoyed by all children regardless of their dietary needs.

This simple act of kindness helps ensure that Halloween remains a safe and magical occasion for everyone 💙🎃

✨ Welcome Dr. Raffi Tchekmedyian to Modena Allergy + Asthma! ✨
We’re excited to introduce Dr. Tchekmedyian, a Huntington Beach native and an expert in allergy and immunology. After earning his medical degree at Case Western and completing his residency at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Tchekmedyian honed his expertise at The University of Colorado and National Jewish Health in Denver. He’s now ready to offer his extensive knowledge in treating allergies, asthma, and immune system disorders to both adult and pediatric patients.
When he’s not in the office, you might find him exploring his new neighborhood at San Pedro Fish Market 🐟, hanging out with his nieces and nephews 👶, or working on home improvement projects and tackling DIY repairs 🔧. He also enjoys downtime with his dog Koolba and her best pal Luna 🐾.

Big news! ⭐️ We’re excited to welcome Dr. Ali Doroudchi, MD to the Modena Allergy + Asthma La Jolla team. He will be seeing patients out of the La Jolla office beginning Monday, August 12.

Dr. Doroudchi comes to us having recently completed a rigorous fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at UCLA. He has a passion for taking care of children and adults with atopic conditions spanning food allergy, eczema, allergic rhinitis and asthma, in addition to immunologic disorders.

He spends his free time traveling, doing yoga, exploring new restaurants with his wife and spending time with his family and in-laws who reside in San Diego.

We can’t wait for you meet Dr. Doroudchi and for you to experience the incredibly compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable care that he provides.
