Put a finger down if you thought mental health was something you could ✔️ check off your to-do list.
The reality is, taking care of our mental health is an ongoing journey that doesn’t always “go as planned” and healing doesn’t have check boxes.
Some days you may feel healed from triggers, while other days you might feel like you’re about to have 972938 meltdowns and nothing feels ok.
Recognizing that this happens and being content with where you are at in the journey IS a sign of healing, a sign of progress, a sign that you’re living in the present and making conscious efforts towards improving your mental health.
Being able to have a “bad” day but telling yourself to breathe through it, that a bad day doesn’t mean a bad life, that it’s okay to feel it all today… those are beautiful signs of becoming.
The journey is never linear, and that’s normal, that’s okay, that’s the beauty of healing.
