Movement isn’t optional when you’ve got a hound staring at you 👀

If you don’t give your dog its daily movement, it’ll drive you nuts (and probably chew through your shoes 😅).

Truth is, we’re not much different.

Movement is medicine—whether it’s a walk with your pup, a stretch break between calls, or chasing your kids around the yard.

☕ Coffee in hand.
🌞 Sunrise in your eyes.
5–10 minutes, that’s it.

Here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear:
Your first meal sets the tone for your entire day.

Start your morning with cereal, bagels, or oatmeal? You’re pouring sugar on the fire. It feels good for about 30 minutes… then you’re yawning, craving coffee, and wondering why you’re starving by 10am.

But start with protein + fat — 35–50 grams of quality protein (think steak and eggs) — and everything changes.

✅ Your blood sugar stays stable.
✅ Energy doesn’t crash.
✅ Hunger stays in check.
✅ Focus stays sharp.

Do it for 7 days and watch what happens:

* That mid-morning “I need a snack” disappears.

Right now, if you’re healthy, your body only has about "1 teaspoon (4 grams)" of sugar in your entire bloodstream.

That’s the sweet spot your body works hard to maintain.

Now imagine what happens when you start pouring more sugar in through sodas, bread, cereal, “healthy” granola bars, pasta, or even that giant bowl of rice.

Your body has to scramble to move the extra sugar somewhere.

First stop? Your muscles and liver—they store it as glycogen. But those tanks fill up quick.

After that? It’s converted and stored as fat.

And when your system gets overwhelmed and can’t clear it fast enough, the sugar builds up in your blood.

That’s when damage starts—think inflammation, damaged blood vessels, insulin resistance… the road to diabetes.

👉 Fun fact: It doesn’t matter if it’s soda, orange juice, or “organic agave” — once it hits your bloodstream, your body only sees one thing: "Glucose"
