A little Placenta info for the day ! This is a bilobed (or bipartite) placenta. This is a variation where the placenta has two lobes of roughly equal size, separated by a membrane, instead of a single disc.

Supporting and guiding no matter what path of birth. This is your sacred space, this is safely surrendering to the process. Cesarean birth can be and is for some families gentle and honorable to the alchemy of birth, a sacred passage of birth nonetheless. To be by your side and hold your hand, to provide you my offerings full of intentional healing and nourishment to your body. We can navigate through this beautiful phase in life. Cesarean birth doesn’t mean you failed or that something is wrong with your body. We are here together in this, let’s embark this journey as a team.

Embracing her and guiding her not just with my voice but with my unspoken intentions to uplift her and hold her physically but also spiritually. Reassuring her she is safe in this unknown space of labor. Trust your body, trust the process, you can do this .. and that she did. Connecting with dad through this process was so special too, imagine him feeling supported , heard, encouraged and knowing that they both are being guided with so much love and warmth as they navigate into parenthood. Imagine him having the capacity to also surrender and experience the alchemy of this scared passage we call birth. Thank you to the families who have give me great honor to guide and support them both physically and in spirit.

Being able to be a birth worker is a great honor and privilege. I'm just so thankful to be able to a part of that sacred journey for many families and help them feel so empowered and safe and provide a peace in the midst of the unknown.

Hey San Diego County! How are you coping with this heat?!
That leads me into the reality of how difficult it is to truly stay hydrated. I’m finding it difficult to not only stay hydrated but also encourage my little ones to make wiser choices when it comes to hydrating too.
Eek, sounding like I’m breaking sweat just reliving it.

What are some of your tips on keeping hydrated?

Birthing is the realm of unknown. Let’s not treat it lightly but with great honor, love and patience. Sometimes our plans and preparation goes out the door and all that is left is surrendering. It’s important to grieve the planning and preparation. It’s important to grieve the outcome too and all the things you envisioned. Giving yourself grace along the way and sitting in the pain to grow and acceptance is one of the hardest and most important things we can ever do. Honoring that space that you deserve. We stand together to ensure you are being upheld in love, honor and patience.

This is the gentle and intention touch from both doula and partner, providing affirmations and holding space in labor. “Holding space” means being physically, mentally, and emotionally present for someone. It means putting your focus on someone to support them as they feel their feelings. An important aspect of holding space is managing judgment while you are present. This type of support is so important in the most sacred journey into parenthood. Such a magical moment ✨

Why is fiber important for our diet even more so durning pregnancy and postpartum ? The intake of fiber‐rich foods during pregnancy and lactation helps in promoting heart health, decreasing diabetes risk, preventing constipation, as well as reducing risks of preeclampsia risks, together with providing nutrient‐rich food with low energy density. Incorporation of fiber in your diet whether it’s in your smoothie, cold press juice, salads, or any rich fiber foods are all ways we can create ways to include friends and family to all benefit eating healthier and feeling great together.
