🍁🧡Gratitude is often experienced from a mental perspective as a practice. Scanning your life to find something you are thankful for is valuable.
Yoga, however, proposes something different. Yoga’s practices promote a physical, mental/emotional, and energetic release. This letting go brings you to a deeper dimension within yourself. A dimension beyond the mind stuff which is the core of your being. Yoga calls it Hrdayakasha - The Space of the Heart. From this deeper vantage point your perspective changes, and how you see everything changes too. You begin to recognize every aspect of your life as an expression of your highest Self. My teacher .nirmalananda describes Self as The One being all while being you.
Under this perspective gratitude becomes more than a prescribed practice. It becomes the way you perceive every aspect of your life.
