Calling all San Diego mental health providers!👋

The 8th Annual Critical Issues in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CICAMH) Conference will take place on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the beautiful campus of University of San Diego (but it is a hybrid event, so you can also attend virtually!).

This multidisciplinary conference brings together mental health providers from all disciplines (LCSWs, MFTs, PsyDs, PhDs, Psychiatrists, NPs, and more) as we work together focusing on positive changes and solutions for the children in our community!

There will be engaging presentations and plenary sessions from keynote speakers of various disciplines, targeted breakout sessions, and interactive training with therapeutic techniques and interventions.

This unique hybrid event is designed to reach a wide audience in order to help to integrate up-to-date clinical information with informed, evidence-based care in daily clinical practice. It's also a wonderful networking opportunity!

What's worse than feeling bad? Feeling bad *about* feeling bad 😔😫☹️

The shame spiral is incredibly common 🌪️🌪️🌪️

What can be helpful--instead of pushing the shame away--is checking in with yourself❓🤗❔

Ask yourself these 2️⃣Q's...

☝️What is this emotion trying to tell me?
✌️What do I need?

Afterwards, give yourself what you need by practicing some non-judgmental self compassion (an easy way to do this is by picturing what you'd say to a best friend)....how does it feel?
