In the West joining hands together is often seen as a gesture of prayer. Yet, in Eastern tradition, it takes a different meaning. When palms are joined and “namaste” is said it is seen as a sacred hello. Namaste translates to “I bow to the divinity within you from the divinity within me,” reflecting the yogic practice of recognizing the Divine in all of creation 🙏🧘✨💕
