**Sarcopenia** is the **age-related loss of muscle mass, strength, and function**

This typically begins in our mid 30s and accelerates during midlife—especially for women in perimenopause and menopause.

In simple terms:
It’s when the body starts breaking down muscle faster than it rebuilds it.

Over time, this can lead to:

* Decreased strength and stability
* Slower metabolism
* More joint pain and fatigue
* Higher risk of falls or injury

The empowering part (because you know I’m not here to be gloomy 😉): sarcopenia is **not inevitable**. Muscle responds to strength training, adequate protein, proper recovery, and supportive care...like massage -wink wink. 💆🏻‍♀️

Midlife is actually a powerful season to *protect* and rebuild muscle—on purpose, for purpose, living with purpose. 💪✨

[Today]

Not every day is going to be perfect, but we can thank God for the time and opportunity.

Today was a curious day, personally.

Not everybody got to see the sun set or the opportunity to eat dinner... because their life transitioned.

To where...?

Life is short. Life is precious. Life is limited.

Is Heaven confident in your position and right with knowing Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

A: Accept/Admit - that you are a sinner
B: Believe - that Jesus is Lord and Savior
C: Confess - He died and Resurrected for the forgiveness of our sins.

[Self-care 💕 Tips]

Just saw one of my former, pre-Covid clients today. She reached out to see if I was still doing massage, and we got her scheduled today.

She recognized she was loooong overdue and has not been doing self-care very well.

She is a foster mom of 2 little 👨‍👦boys, one of which is a high-needs.

I gave her the assignment this week to start somewhere small with self-care.

Here are the suggestions:
🛀Bath
💝 Gratitude - List off a few things before she gets out of bed or before falling asleep
💨 Time-Out for some deep breathing
🚶🏽‍♀️Go for a walk

Self-care doesn't have to be this grandiose event, take a lot of time or cost a lot. Just invest where you are at right now with time, effort, or monetarily. The point is to get started and adjust as you go.

[Intentional 🍂 Gratitude]

Good morning, 🧡 Pumpkin!

What a beautiful day. The sun is shining bright here in San Diego, and I just finished sun gazing (looking at the sun with the eyes closed).

As I was gazing, I wanted to intentionally thank the Lord and be present in the moment, absorbing the rays and feeling the warmth on my face. Receiving and 🔁 letting go.

Thank you, Lord, that You are so much bigger and in control, so I can rejoice.

[Book 📖 of John]

KEY VERSE:
