[the] movement initiative live to move. move to live. I N I T I A T E. www.wedaretomove.com

[the] movement initiative is a Brooklyn-born, San Diego-based company fusing the fitness expertise and artistic visions of dancer-trainers Caryn Glass and Ami Ipapo. Our mission to make movement accessible to all is put into action through both branches of [the] movement initiative: our functional fitness company + dance collective. Our functional fitness company provides onsite and outdoor training services in the North County areas of San Diego. With expertise in yoga, Pilates, TRX, GYROKINESIS®, resistance + core training and massage therapy, we create personalized workouts for you in the location of your choice. Our trainers are committed to helping you reach your goals and take steps toward a healthy, well-balanced life. Our dance collective strives to remove artistic barriers by working in non-traditional spaces and creating in collaboration with other art forms. By removing dance from its typical venue and execution, we aspire to interconnect a larger demographic and inspire the masses to find the mover within. Though [the] movement initiative has a sunny new home in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, we continue to collaborate with movers on both east and west coasts, and to cultivate our growing community of teachers, trainers, dancers, artists and movement therapists. If you are interested in collaborating with or contributing to [the] movement initiative, please contact us at info@wedaretomove.com

"After a double mastectomy, the loss of an o***y and being told a total hysterectomy was the only available option left, I knew it was time to take back MY power. Sure, eating better and getting more sleep were factors but it was the process of getting back in touch with myself, with my potential and with my dreams and goals that made all the difference in the world. Fast forward to today and not only am I healthy and full of vitality (with my uterus still intact) but I'm pregnant! What a DIFFERENCE a year can make."

Women of San Diego! Join TMI's co-artistic director and holistic lifestyle coach, Caryn Ipapo-Glass at this evening's Dream Defining and Goal Setting Workshop hosted by the women's network Muse at Art Produce at 6:45pm!

Check out the post below for more details and PM us to reserve your spot!
