✨When I was pumping for my daughter when she was in the NICU for 3 weeks the Eufy pump saved my sanity! I initially established my supply with a plug in hospital pump but I needed something more portable for multiple trips to the hospital daily.

💕This pump was one of my many pumps but I will say it was by far my favorite! I’ll be posting a blog about it soon but for now if you have any questions about my experience using it feel free to ask!

Introducing our princess…Charlie Belle Watkins 🎀👑

Chardá Bell & Dr. Charles “Tré” L. Watkins III

🩷Her first name Charlie, comes from her paternal family tree and middle name Belle is a play on my last name just adding an ‘e’ to the end, meaning most beautiful.

✨This baby is a miraculous blessing for us and we couldn’t have dreamed of a greater love.

Born on 9.1.2024 (6 weeks early weighing 2lbs 12oz and is now a solid 7lbs at 10 weeks old, fed and grown off my liquid gold!

39 & still fine. ♏️

My birthday was last Saturday Nov 9th, and for my birthday I took a nap and enjoyed doing absolutely nothing, besides a little luxury shopping 😜But I’m well rested and celebrating my birthday all month long like the extraaaa Scorpio that I am!

For my last year of my 30’s I will be enjoying my daughter’s first year of life, I couldn’t think of a better gift than this. 💝 you for always giving me everything I want

Hello fourth “trimester” ☀️🌑✨

I’ve been supporting others in birth for the last 7+ years but I haven’t birthed in over 11 years, this all feels new but in a good way. My first born daughter created with my first love. The belly stops growing with the end of pregnancy but growth still happens within postpartum.

📸 - 1 week before birth, 1 day after birth, 1 week after birth

💜I had to take some time to grieve the loss of my birth plan and to “rebirth” my own way. I’m now 9 weeks postpartum and it’s been a wild ride, we spent 26 days in the NICU simply due to being smaller but healthy and strong, she was premature (33 weeks 4 days), and a very unexpected but gentle belly birth (c-section). I’m thankful that me and my baby girl made it through safely and are healthy, she has since more than tripled her weight & been breastfeeding like a pro since day 2!

I haven’t shared my pregnancy or postpartum journey in real time to allow for some sense of privacy and boundaries. 🥰

As says - Things didn’t go as planned but they went exactly how they were supposed to go for us. Yet we still have such a beautiful life!

✨Postpartum here we go…

Ways to support postpartum parents instead of always asking them what they need, in my opinion:

❤️Drop off something at their door without expecting to come inside or see the baby. Support should be unconditional.
🧡Send a meal you know they like or gift card for meal delivery.
💛Provide basic household items and/or groceries.
💚Bring practical stuff, like soup or casserole, instead of flowers or in addition to 💐
💙Offer to care for any other children.
💜Send money—it’s versatile and always useful. 💰🤑💵

🩷The key is to help without making parents think or feel pressured.

As a newly postpartum parent after birth I received a ton of texts asking me what I needed. Each time I got asked this question my anxiety and stress went through the roof on top of all the s**t I was already going through. It made me feel guilty not being able to respond but then I realized, it’s OK to not know and it shouldn’t be expected.

We have to stop asking new parents to tell us what they need after birth and expect an answer on the spot or at all. It can be overwhelming, especially after a traumatic birth, NICU stay, or other unexpected outcomes. Postpartum parents are already juggling so much, and adding this responsibility can cause more stress. Just do something yourself or wait for them to ask.

✨All Bellies Are Beautiful, regardless of size. Periodt.

Society has a problem with commenting on the size of pregnant folks bellies. You never know what someone is going through or has gone through to grow such a beautiful thing. Size doesn’t matter, “big or small” we should love them all!
