POWER HOUR

POWER HOUR SATURDAY MORNING BOOT CAMP/YOGA/NUTRITION This is a group class that focuses on athleticism and whole body health. The inner athlete just has to be wakened up.

The name implies just that...for one hour you will be challenged physically to use everything you got to reach your utlimate health & fitness goal. The core of the workout has 10+ exercises that focus on pushing and pulling of the upper body, pushing and pulling of the lower body, flexibility, cardio, and core. The class is set up in a circuit style training fashion where the participant stays at

a station for a predetermined period of time in order to perform the exercise at a high rate of speed. The exerciser has a brief period of rest immediately followed by another exercise performed in the same manner. The goal is to obtain as many reps with a challenging weight for predetermined time. This is a combination of power training, strength training and cardiovascular endurance. This method of exercise is also known as interval training. The exercises selected are ones that challenge the body the most. For example, body weight exercises, jumping drills, agility drills, yoga, pilates, etc. The goal of this class is to make the person more fit by being athletic. This type of class provides the "best bang for your buck." In one class, you are performing flexibility, power, core work, and cardio that will enhance any sport(s). The class is just that....for one hour, you are challenged in all aspects of your athletic abilities. Then I will end with being in tuned with your body through flexibility and nutrition. Bringing you back in the kitchen to show you how to nourish your body is just as important as how you perform out there in the field.
