Of all the Spiritual Masters who ever have lived, I can't recommend Ammachi (The Holy Mother) and Her teachings more highly. Even the head of Self Realization Fellowship, Sri Daya Mata (direct disciple of Yogananda) once commented to a question posed to Her about what She thought of Ammachi, She replied, Yogananda is Arjuna, but Amma is Krishna! I have met over 100 enlightened teachers personally, but none I feel are as egoless, filled with such supreme love, and are so impactful on earth. Amma has one of the largest charitable organizations in the world (Embracing The World) and She says She doesn't even take a single breath for Herself in this life in the world. I hope you all will meet Her on Her tour this summer!

Until recently, Antarctic sea ice fluctuated between relatively stable summer minimums and winter maximums. But after a record minimum in 2016, things began to shift. Two record lows soon followed, including the smallest minimum ever in February 2023 at just 737,000 square miles (1.91 million square kilometers).

As winter began in March of that year, scientists hoped the ice cover would rebound. But what happened instead astonished them: Antarctic ice experienced six months of record lows. At winter's peak in July, the continent was missing a chunk of ice bigger than Western Europe.

Antarctic sea ice has been disappearing over the last several summers. Now, climate scientists are wondering whether it will ever come back.

Most Enlightened Teachers Recommend Staying Inside During and Eclipse. Tomorrow's is one of the longest the earth will witness for the next 500 years, so you may wish to heed the advice below.

Tomiko Fischer is a gifted Vedic astrologer who has travelled extensively and volunteered her refined astrological services while on tour with a great saint called Ammachie . We were discussing eclipses and she very generously offered to share her experiences in writing with the Holy Mother and her recollections of what Mother has said about eclipses.
When I lived at the South India ashram of my teacher Amma, in August 1999 there was a total solar eclipse that passed through parts of Asia. While not fully visible in South India, the eclipse still created a shadowy, dirty reddish sky and heavy, foreboding atmosphere. Amma was very clear that the ashram residents were to be especially vigilant to avoid being affected by the eclipse’s inauspicious influence. She instructed us to stay inside and chant mantras as a group such as the protective Mahamritunjaya mantra, to not cook food and to fast if possible. If any food was sitting around, it was to be kept covered. One of Amma’s pujaris (priests) performed a homa or traditional Vedic fire sacrifice meant specifically to mitigate the eclipse’s negative effects.
Ammach is a true Master who has transcended a need for astrology, yet for those of us who are still under the sway of the planets she recognizes that astrology and astrological remedies (upayas) are valuable for helping us adjust our actions and awareness to accommodate larger universal energies

A female humpback whale had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighed down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, and a line tugging in her mouth.
This is her story of giving gratitude.
A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so badly off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her…. a very dangerous proposition.
One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.
They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.
When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
