SDFC's June Baby of the Month: Kaito 👶
We are so excited to feature Kaito as our newest Baby of the Month. His parents say he is such a happy baby and loves to chuckle all day while playing with his big sister, Mila.
He also LOVES feeding time and can chug milk all day until bedtime. And then that's when he gets to enjoy 10 hours of straight slumber. 😴
Kaito's favorite pastime is to be constantly carried, which his mom says can be challenging at 22 pounds and only 6 months old. But she says that she would not want it any other way 😍

Their baby girl, Bexley, was born on April 15 and weighed a healthy 6 pounds, 10 ounces.
Abbie and Chris have been very vocal about their struggles dealing with infertility and wanted to share their story:
"...Dreams do come true. The journey to get here has not been easy and while we are beyond excited, we want to acknowledge those who are struggling to build a family.
IVF was our only option to conceive. Three IVF cycles and only ONE embryo, and a 15 percent chance for a pregnancy. Numbers are just numbers and we are living proof when they say you only need one, you really only need one and a lot of love and determination.
If you are struggling please know our heart is with you. Although infertility happens to 1:8 of us, it’s one of the loneliness feelings. It’s a club you never want to belong to, but too many people do and we don’t talk about it enough. That is every person's choice. But we believe it’s important to talk and raise awareness. If this brings you pain, or makes you spiral into a rage and then you’re overcome with guilt because you think you should feel happiness instead you’re consumed with sadness, I’ve been there time and time again. During the pandemic, I stopped counting after 20 of the number of friends and family announcing their bundle of joy(s). While I didn’t know all of their stories, I still felt sadness. There were days I didn’t know how I would get through this but I have an amazing husband, incredibly supportive family, close friends and doctors and nurses at @sandiegofertilitycenter that would help me realize I would be a mother, it just wouldn’t be the journey I had planned. And we couldn’t have done it without the support from my company #Tegna. We will be one of your biggest cheerleaders. If you ever need to talk or cry it out, questions, we are here for you.
