A One-Two Punch for Weight Loss: CBD and Time Restricted Fasting.
So, that New Year's resolution for weight loss didn't quite go as planned? Don't worry, 80% of people who make a promise to change their habits at the drop of the ball in Times Square fail to keep to their plan. So, you are not alone.
Research has shown that the reason people fail is that they don't change their habits relying instead on Herculian amounts of “will power” to change their misguided ways. They may also be trying to change the wrong things such as eat less, exercise more. Exercising. While each of these strategies are great lifestyle choices neither has been shown to be particularly effective and shedding those unwanted pounds and keeping them off, which is the ultimate goal.
In this post, we will briefly discuss how two easy choices that don't require summing an iron will to succeed. The first is called “Time Restricted Eating” or intermittent fasting and the second is supplementing this with CBD tinctures.
TRE is easy. Only eat within an 8-hour window and drink water or tea for the rest of the time. For example, constrain your eating from 10 am to 6 pm or adjust accordingly based on your schedule. The reason why traditionally dieting doesn't work is that your metabolism slows down so that you will put the weight back on.
However, with TRE what happens to your metabolism burns your fat – rather than the easily accessible glucose – and thus you lose weight.
Why CBD? Think of CBD as a force multiplier to your intermittent fasting. While
human studies are scarce, both animal studies and individual's anecdotal reports point to CBD as helping improve metabolic functioning (think of your body's engine running better), reducing appetite in some people, reducing anxiety – and thus the desire to stress eat. In short, restricting the time periods in which you eat, drinking lots of water, and adding CBD to your health regime is a sure-fire way to not only reclaim the promise of your New Year's resolution but ensure that you are actually successful this time.

Is CBD legal?
CBD is readily obtainable in most parts of the United States, though its exact legal status is in flux. All 50 states have laws legalizing CBD with varying degrees of restriction, and while the federal government still considers CBD in the same class as ma*****na, it doesn’t habitually enforce against it. In December 2015, the FDA eased the regulatory requirements to allow researchers to conduct CBD trials. Currently, many people obtain CBD online without a medical cannabis license. The government’s position on CBD is confusing, and depends in part on whether the CBD comes from h**p or ma*****na. The legality of CBD is expected to change, as there is currently bipartisan consensus in Congress to make the h**p crop legal which would, for all intents and purposes, make CBD difficult to prohibit.
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (ma*****na). While CBD is an essential component of medical ma*****na, it is derived directly from the h**p plant, which is a cousin of the ma*****na plant. While CBD is a component of ma*****na (one of hundreds), by itself it does not cause a “high.” According to a report from the World Health Organization, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”
Be safe with your cartridges. If you are buying from a CA licensed shop, you should be safe.
Autism and CBD. An up and coming artist from Toronto just committed su***de. He suffered from both Autism and Tourettes and Depression. CBD and cannabis can help with all three of these issues. See the NYTIMES article and check out his work, which we will now be deprived of because he wasn't able to get the help he needed from cannabis
