Our beautiful optical boutique carries a large selection of the latest designer frames. We’re confident that you will go home with the perfect pair of glasses. Our practice also has an optical lab in-house which allows us to offer same day service for prescription glasses. We are conveniently located in Kearny Mesa and easily accessible off the 805, 163, and 52 freeways. It will be an honor and privilege for us to provide eye care for you and your family!

Viewing the solar eclipse today? ☀️🌑 Be sure to never look directly at the sun during a solar eclipse! Exposing your eyes to the sun without proper eye protection during a solar eclipse can cause retinal burns, also known as solar retinopathy. This damage occurs with no pain and can take a few hours to a few days after viewing the solar eclipse to realize the damage has occurred.

Safety tips:
-Use certified solar eclipse glasses manufactured with the ISO 12312-2 label from a trusted source to view a solar eclipse safely and without damaging your eyes. Do NOT use regular sunglasses.
-A safe alternative and most inexpensive way to watch a solar eclipse is to make a pinhole projector. This helps you avoid looking directly at the eclipse by using a projected image. This do-it-yourself project includes making a pinhole in a cardboard paper with the sun on one side and a piece of paper three feet away without obstruction to project the image on the other side. Keep in mind not to look through the pinhole at the sun. We will post a story with step by step instructions for this DIY pinhole projector!
-Do NOT use your smartphone: Watching a solar eclipse on your smartphone camera can put you at risk of accidentally looking at the sun when trying to line up your camera. It could possibly also damage your smartphone camera. Don’t take the risk.
