Currently I am charging $60 per session if I work on the same horse within one week. Twice a week is $65 per session and once a week, twice a week or monthly is $70. This includes doing the muscles on the entire horse and usually takes between 1 and 1 1/2 hours depending on how tight the muscles are.

To simplify the physics of motion and the workings of the muscular system, regard the body as a machine with the muscular system as an integrated, interrelated system of pulleys and cables. While each of these cables, or groups, by itself produces its own individual movement, it must coordinate with all other groups to produce total working of the machine.

As long as each part functions freely, the machine functions smoothly and efficiently. A malfunction in any part of the machine will have its effect upon the entire machine. Malfunction causes uneven stress and resistance factors to develop that reduce the effective performance and with time and continued use will lead to partial or complete breakdown.

The eventual problem may occur either in the immediate area of the restriction or at some point far removed. Restore proper motion to the malfunctioning part and the machine recovers its effective performance. Maintain proper motion to the entire machine and it will give a lifetime of good service. The more a machine is expected to do, the greater the need for preventative maintenance.

This is a brown mare used for dressage, who was very tight in the back and hindquarters. She was so tight that it was affecting her hips, stifles and hocks.
