SDCBA Diversity Fellowship Program provides diverse, first year law students the opportunity to work at San Diego law firms and corporate legal departments during the summer months after their first year. The Program seeks to close the diversity gap in the legal profession by increasing the number of diverse lawyers practicing in San Diego County law firms and corporate legal departments. The paid fellowship provides students the opportunity to learn and develop skills necessary to succeed in the legal professional while also introducing law firms and legal departments to qualified individuals for potential recruiting purposes.

It is the most efficient (and in some cases the only) way to apply for (1) spring 2020 internships with DA, PD, US Attorney, CA Attorney General, judges, corporations, and public interest organizations; (2) summer 2020 summer associate positions with large national law firms, law clerk positions with small to mid-sized firms, and summer internships with governmental organizations; and (3) select post-graduate positions with firms and government agencies.

Practising Law Institute (PLI) invites you to a presentation by Mark Dighton, PLI's Director of Law School Relations and a Director of their Patent Office Exam Course. Topics for discussion include:
• The latest info on the Patent Office Exam,

• How it works, now that it's on computer and “on demand,”

In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is a California program designed to provide in-home care for low-income elderly and disabled individuals. This important program helps the elderly and disabled stay in their homes, and in their communities, avoiding institutionalization or long-term care placement.
The vulnerable population that benefits from these services need your help!
Make a difference in the life of a low-income, disabled or elderly person in San Diego County by providing legal advice by phone or in-person, and/or representing a client at a hearing to contest a denial of IHSS benefits or to advocate that more service hours should be provided in order for the client to remain in their home safely and independently.
