I wish everyone truly understood what they are capable of.

I wish everyone realized that they have the ability to completely change their ways— their patterns, their habits, their ways of being…

…and that it IS possible to overcome fears, move on from the past, heal, and become a version of themselves that they are f*cking proud of.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot as I observe most people choosing to stay in their ways even though said ways are causing problems, pain, or suffering.

I believe that one of the main reasons people stay in their ways is because deep down they don’t BELIEVE that they are capable of changing.

I am here to tell you (or remind you) that you are capable. It is possible. I promise.

Thought experiment: If someone told you that the people you love the most in your life would be in danger unless you changed (insert pattern or behavior)…. what would you do? You would get insanely resourceful and probably tap into a reserve of motivation you forgot was there. You would do literally anything you possibly could to FIND A WAY to make the change.

Now channel that level of resourcefulness and motivation and apply it to YOUR life, health, and happiness because you deserve to live your best life and live up to your full potential.

The path to change isn’t always easy to find or follow, but it does exist and the journey is worth it.

I operate as my best, most badass self when I make taking care of myself top priority.

I thrive (and feel the most bomb) when I nurture ALL parts of myself— mind, body and soul.

I grow the most when my thoughts, habits, actions and life choices align with my goals and purpose.

I am able to heal when I slow down, get quiet, and take the time to connect with myself and my emotions.

I believe the same is true for all of us, and I think in theory, a lot of us know this, but knowing and DOING are two different things. Embodying these things *consistently* truly is a PRACTICE.

We forget, we remember, we forget, we remember…
We fall off, we get back on, we fall off, we get back on….

That’s how it goes, and that’s okay. We’ll get better and better at it the more we practice - just like everything else in life.

So much becomes available and POSSIBLE for us when we are in alignment, and it’s a place we can return to if/when we find ourselves feeling lost.

There are systems and practices that can help us get into alignment— deeper, more frequently, and for longer periods of time. One of the most powerful uplevels in my life happened several years ago when I started working with a mentor (and friend) . She helped me to fully understand the power that can come from being alignment, and showed me ways to get myself there.

During this time, my coaching business took off, I became a healthier, happier and more authentic version of myself, and so many things in my world changed for the better.

Now, living in alignment has become a default. Do I still slip out of it sometimes, of course. But I have the tools and ability to know how to get back into it.

Dry January Accountability Club

Doing things differently this year. The past two Januarys, I ran full-on group coaching Dry January programs, complete with bi/weekly Zoom coaching calls, challenges and prizes, guest speakers, printouts + more. I’m not going as hard this time because I have a lot more on my plate this year BUT…

I am still feeling called to create and facilitate a space for folks who need or want motivation, support, accountability, and tools to stick to their goal of staying booze-free (or mostly booze free) for a month. I will be doing it right there alongside everyone because, I too, am ready for a nice solid break.

So here’s what I’m thinkin:
- Weekly Zoom meetings led by me (Tuesday evenings PT); less coaching, more accountability group-style. You can participate in the convo if you want, or just tune in - it’s still beneficial and motivating to just listen.
- A WhatsApp Group to stay connected and motivate each other throughout the week.
- Shared Google Drive where I’ll drop some tools and other goodies I have laying around
- Maybe a guest speaker or two, who knows

$25 — I am pricing this much lower than I have in the past because I wont be as hands-on, but you’re still getting all of the same content + the support of a group going through the same thing.

The key to balance while working in the hospitality and nightlife industry is prioritizing self care.

I started working in restaurants and bars when I was 15. I quickly worked my way up from hostess to management and bartending, and then I started DJing in my early 20s. I basically grew up in bars and nightclubs but had zero clue how to manage my health or my energy in my younger days. Over time + a lot of trial and error, I figured some things out.

If you work (or have worked) in that world, you know the struggles: late nights and poor sleep, an inconsistent schedule, constant temptation to drink and party, dealing with toxic people etc. As a result, your mental and physical health take a beating.

I know how hard it can be to make time for your health when you’re constantly drained, it can feel like a chore. The truth is, if you want to excel in your work and even thrive, you need to rearrange your priorities. Changing patterns can be hard, but with a few mindset shifts and tweaks to your lifestyle, you can make absolutely do it.

Since I started my business in 2017, my mission has been to inspire healthy and positive change for those who feel the way that I felt earlier on in my career. For anyone who needs a little support, I am just a DM away.

And for the San Diego industry/nightlife fam, I am hosting an event on December 10th where you’ll have the opportunity to check out many of the things that WILL keep you sane and feeling more balanced. Optional mini workouts, wellness modalities such as massage, cryotherapy, cold plunge, acupuncture and more. You’ll also have access to 1-on-1 support from fitness and nutrition experts, and there will even be a licensed therapist there doing an activation.

Of course there will be DJs, food and drinks too 🙂

7 Bridges Hike — San Diego service industry and friends, let's get outside, move our bodies, see cool sh*t, and enjoy some food and drinks along the way.

I did this 6ish mile “urban hike” (aka walk) a few weeks ago and it was rad. The hike will take us over seven of San Diego's funkiest bridges, along canyons, parks, and some of the city's beautiful cityscapes. We'll trek through Balboa Park, Bankers Hill, Hillcrest, and a bit of University Heights which means we'll be passing by cafes, bars and restaurants so we will definitely be stopping for treats along the way (cuz we deserve it).

This hike is one big loop, so we’ll park near Balboa Park and the hike will start and end there. Some of Balboa Park's museums are free on Tuesdays, so whoever is up for some museum action can check those out at the end!

This is free but RSVPs are helpful and appreciated.

Announcement for my SD health/wellness/fitness party frenzz ✨

Ya girl has re-joined the team and we are bringing STRENGTH events back to San Diego, full force baby 💪🏽

In 2018 I was presented with the opportunity to join this badass women-owned organization dedicated to creating experiences that inspire people to move, learn, and connect in fun and exciting new ways. I eagerly accepted and jumped on board as the Team Lead for San Diego (SITC is also in Chicago, Denver and Austin)! It was an incredible learning experience and together our team created some unforgettable events, all while raising money for great local causes. Who remembers our fitness festival at Waterfront Park in 2019?

In 2021 (pandemic days) when everyone in the events world seemed to be endlessly pivoting, we amicably went our separate ways (“goodbye for now, not forever”) but now that IRL events are going strong again and I’m settling back into my favorite city, we are re-joining forces and stronger than ever… WE BACK!
