Welcome to our new Nature Unplugged Advocates 🌿

We’re so grateful to have partnered with the American Red Cross Southern California Region and to work alongside an incredible group of high school students from across San Diego County.

It’s always encouraging to see more young leaders stepping up to inspire wellness in the digital age—championing more green time, less screen time, and a deeper connection to self, community, and nature.

We’re excited to see where this next generation of advocates leads 🌎

We had an amazing February Community Hike at beautiful San Elijo Lagoon 🌿

And then… a juvenile bald eagle made a surprise appearance 🦅 — an incredibly rare sighting in coastal San Diego. I’ve been exploring these trails since I was a kid and had never seen one here before. We also spotted deer and a coyote!

Still buzzing from Saturday’s hike through Annie’s Canyon and the San Elijo Lagoon! 🥾✨

We climbed through narrow slot canyons, took in epic coastal views, and explored the San Elijo Nature Center—complete with live snakes (!) and incredible birdwatching. 🐍🐦

Huge thanks to our amazing San Diego County Park Rangers and our friends at for helping make this hike such a special one. 💚
