Theme: Letting Go

Let’s take a moment to pause and ask ourselves: What are we still clinging to that is no longer serving us?

Is it a past hurt? A fear of the unknown? The weight of unrealistic expectations and negative stories that we tell ourselves?

Today’s gentle reminder comes from the wise Thich Nhat Hanh:

“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness.”

In yoga, meditation and sound healing every exhale is an invitation to release.

Release tension from the body.
Release stories from the mind.
Release heaviness from the heart.

On our mats, we don’t just stretch muscles—we soften resistance.

We breathe through discomfort.
We learn to surrender.

Letting go isn’t about forgetting or giving up—it’s about making space.
Space for peace.
Space for joy.
Space for you to be fully present and fully free.

So today, I invite you to breathe deeply and ask yourself:
What can I let go of in this moment?

Meet yourself with grace. Unroll your mat.
And exhale your way into freedom.

You are worthy of a life unburdened.

As Thanksgiving gets closer, remember that it is may not be happy time for everyone, but it is the pertect time to reflect on gratitude and the power it holds.

Having a heart of thankfulness is the way to our overall happiness and healing!

When you are grateful, an invisible blanket of peace covers you, it makes you glow, it makes you happy, strong, warm. Gratitude puts mind at ease about everything

Gratitude is a practice that allows us to shift our focus from what may be lacking in our lives to not only recognize but appreciate the abundance of blessings that surround us.

It is an invitation to pause and offer heartfelt thanks. In the midst of life’s uncertainties, gratitude opens our hearts to receive the God’s love and grace. It encourages us to live with intention and embrace each moment as a precious gift….because it truly is!

In keeping with the theme for this week of happiness, one of my favorite things to do that makes me happy is doing a walking meditations, while I hike !

Discover Peace and Happiness Through following these 5 Steps to practice a Walking Meditation.

Step into a journey of mindfulness with a walking meditation. Here are five steps to guide your path to inner peace:

Step 1: Set the Intention
Find a quiet, natural setting or a peaceful park. Stand still for a moment, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. Set your intention for this walk, whether it's to find calm, clarity, or simply be present in the moment.

Step 2: Begin with Awareness
Start walking at a gentle pace. As you move, focus on the sensation of each step. Feel your feet lifting, moving, and touching the ground. Pay attention to the rhythm of your breath and the surrounding sounds of nature.

Step 3: Connect with Your Breath
Now, sync your breath with your steps. Inhale for a few steps, and then exhale for the same number of steps. This rhythmic breathing anchors you in the present moment. Feel the air entering your body and the tension leaving with each exhale.

Step 4: Observe Your Surroundings
Open your senses to the world around you. Take in the sights, sounds, and smells. Observe the colors of the leaves, the rustling of the wind, and the scent of the earth. Let the beauty of nature become part of your meditation.

Step 5: Gratitude and Closure
As you approach the end of your walk, pause for a moment. Express gratitude for this mindful journey. Consider the insights you've gained and the peace you've found. Slowly transition back to your regular pace, carrying the serenity of your walk with you.

Walking meditation is a simple yet powerful way to connect with the present moment. Try it regularly to experience the tranquility it can bring to your life.

Sound Bowl Healing and Restorative Yoga Workshop will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 4:15pm-5:30pm PST.

Do you struggle to find moments of peace and relaxation in your busy life?

Is it hard for you to let go past traumas or hurts feeling?

If so, our “Sound Healing and Restorative Yoga” workshop is just what you need.

Join Certified Yoga Teacher and Certified Sound Healer Kimberlee Wambua for an evening to let the stress of life melt away.

Kimberlee creates a space for women to heal, release all stagnant and heavy energy collected during the week, so you can step into the new week feeling light, balanced, and energized.

It will be a unique transformative experience, combining the healing power of crystal quartz sound bowls along with other healing instruments such as zapir chimes and rain sticks and the restorative practice of yoga.

You’ll be guided through a series of gentle/ restorative yoga postures using props (such as blankets and bolsters), each one designed to release tension and promote deep relaxation in your body. As you move through the poses, you’ll be bathed in the soothing vibrations of the sound bowls, creating a deeply healing and rejuvenating experience. Kimberlee will provide guidance and support, helping you to let go of stress and anxiety and restore balance to your body and mind.
