I always recommend starting in the abdomen when working with lymphatic drainage. Why? Because the abdomen is home to your body’s primary detox pathways.

Our lymphatic system expels waste through sweat. What can’t be released that way gets processed through the lymph nodes, circulatory system, and finally—our internal organs. By opening the GI first, we support the most important step: detox.

It’s human to feel hurt, angry, or stuck in heavy thoughts—especially when life hands us moments that feel unfair.

But holding onto that bitterness only weighs us down. Mindfulness teaches us to notice those intrusive thoughts without judgment, to breathe through them, and to slowly release what no longer serves us.

This isn’t about forcing positivity—it’s about creating space for peace. Little by little, breath by breath, we choose clarity over clouds.

Meet my Meridian Man

Just like you and me, he’s perfectly imperfect — a loose guide to where your meridians flow.

After hearing a sweet conversation between a client and her son about her cupping marks, I was inspired to kick off this new educational series. I mention meridians often during our sessions, and now you’ll have a visual to go along with what I’m talking about.

Each week I’ll be sharing more: specific points, muscle groups, and even the posterior view (the back). I love helping my clients learn, but I know it can be hard to remember everything when you’re all zen on the table. That’s why you can save these posts and revisit them whenever you’re curious about why I cupped or used Moxa in certain areas.

Words carry power. The way we speak to ourselves shapes how we move through life. Affirmations give our minds a positive script to return to, while mindfulness keeps us rooted in the present instead of caught up in stress or “what ifs.”

When combined, they help rewire old thought patterns, calm the nervous system, and remind us that peace is always within reach.

Try starting small: take one deep breath, repeat an affirmation that feels true for you, and notice how your body softens. Over time, those little moments build big change.
