These beautiful tags from arrived and we are so grateful for them!! We have Trusty’s tag here and pray for his safe return. We are out looking for him today and going over the farms he would have had to cross. Praying we can find Trusty so we can give him his beautiful tag….

It’s been an awful few days. Trusty the hunting hound ran off out of the hands of a volunteer. He tore so hard that a finger was injured and despite a chase, Trusty and Cedar escaped. Cedar playing with Trusty yanked out of his harness and went after his buddy. It’s a nightmare scenario for any dog rescuer.

We were so lucky that the next day Onslow County Animal Services had an officer find our Cedar. He was a little rough for the wear but he is fine. We took him directly to the vet since his ears were bleeding but otherwise our boy is safe. Now we continue narrowing our focus on Trusty again and have been calling every agency, animal group and place we can think of. He’s much faster agile and stronger than Cedar so he is probably quite a way farther than where Cedar was located.
We just returned from driving around the area where Cedar was found. No one had seen Trusty that we could see on the streets. Posting Trusty’s photo and there is an active Pawboost up for him.
Please wish us the best in finding him. We thank Onslow County Animal Services, Dr Stelma of Animal Care Center of New Bern and Renee Bryant. Praying for Trusty to come home. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
