I do that through my photography, helping pet parents capture the heart and soul or their four-legged family members in tangible form for all time and through my rescue photography to help homeless pets find homes. For me, that means it’s time to stop letting fear dull me. It's time to light up with excitement and to share my gifts instead of protectively holding onto them.

I have to be honest: this is the most excited I’ve felt in a while... and it's all thanks to finally listening to an idea that’s been tapping me on the shoulder for years!

Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher and a veterinarian (turns out science wasn’t my strong suit 😅 but working with animals absolutely was). Every time I've taught at in-person workshops, monthly online classes, or on stage at two major animal photography conferences, I walked away feeling such massive fulfillment and, honestly, a little mind-blown that I got to make a difference in someone else’s life or career. 🤯

So now, as I plan my new course, The $10K Weekend: The Art & Strategy of Profitable Mini Sessions, I feel such joy and excitement just thinking about how much this course can make a difference in your life and your career.

I fall asleep thinking of ideas and strategies to share. I keep a notebook by my bed because the thoughts start flowing the second I wake up. Haha! Sorry, I think that was the xennial in me talking.

No, but seriously… that’s kind of the entire point.

When I first launched my mini sessions years ago, I wanted them to be the complete opposite of what I normally do. Why? Because it gave me a fun project. Because it gave past clients a reason to book. Because why the heck not?

Over time, I learned from my failures — and trust me, there were many. Once, I had one booking for an entire weekend. Eleven open spots. 🫠

Did I cry about it? I mean… probably. Let’s be honest.

But I also learned from it. I paid attention to what was working and what clearly wasn’t.

And that’s the part I want you to avoid.

A Christmas Story, Last Holiday, and The Holiday are three of my must-watch movies every year. I have been loving curling up on the sofa with Leenie, sharing a fluffy blanket, and watching my favorite feel-good movies together!
