VRC will create and implement major donation programs for research conducted by the Veterans Medical Research Foundation (VMRF). VRC and VMRF agreed to coordinate all donation development activities starting immediately. The VRC Board will include at least one voting member for the VMRF Board of directors to serve as the Board liaison between both institutions. “This is truly a win-win for both organizations”, said Roger Spragg, MD, one of the four founding members of the VRC and the current President of the Board of the Veterans Medical Research Foundation. He continues, “The VRC has the entrepreneurial acumen and drive to create big scale and exciting fundraising opportunities, and VMRF has the research administration experience as well as access to the VA San Diego Healthcare System, to use donations for meaningful research to improve the lives of our veterans.
