I was drawn to yoga in my native Russia when, as a teenager, I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis. That has kept my constant focus on maintaining my body and mind in everyday healthy functioning. Since young age I’ve been traveling and living in different countries, learning yoga and meditation with teachers from Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, India and United States. Having grown in multinational envi
ronments, I was lucky to learn yoga from different cultural perspectives. Most of my teachers did not possess big names and popularity, but instead had a natural understanding of the greatness and beauty of a human being. Humbleness, patience, compassion and perseverance marked their lives and teaching. That goes far beyond postures, muscles and skill levels. On my way, I have gone through several life and health challenges, completed thousands of hours of yoga training and have certain experience under my belt. I bring to my classes three decades of multicultural yoga background, different spiritual and yoga traditions. Technically, what happens in my classes is a mixture of explanation and practice of pranayama, asanas, meditation and relaxation. What most of my students come to me for is the Magic of inner transformation. Every lesson is a gradual, ascendant discovery of your true beauty. Going gently and accurately, I teach about your innate healing capacity, creating a space for you to feel safe, uninhibited and free. The key word here would be "Being". There is no syllabus to follow. The inspiration starts to flow once I stand in front of the group. It doesn't come from me, but goes through me, to address the need of every person: a beginner or an experienced yogi. I am not attached to any yoga style in particular. Yoga that I learned is not divided into styles; it's just yoga and it's vast. Once you have the base and are opened to an exploration, yoga unfolds its most versatile facets.
