As of July 1, 2025 The law allows sales directly from the producer to the consumer, including at farmers’ markets, roadside stands, events, and online platforms, but sales must remain within Tennessee. Producers are not required to register with the state or obtain a permit, and there is no requirement for a food handler’s permit or a kitchen inspection by the state.
