Finally went and got my hair did. I’ve been running a tight ship financially so I decided to reward myself with a fancy haircut for the upcoming events. I’ve been outrageously busy the last couple of months which is why I haven’t posted much. Honestly, I’ll probably have my head buried in solving my personal issues for a few more months so please don’t take offense if I haven’t gotten back to you. You all mean a lot to me I just have to sort some stuff out and I’ll come back to my social life once the waters have settled. Big thanks to Lizzy B for a slick cut and good conversation. I’ve really been slacking on my posts lately. Truth be told, life has been whooping my ass for the last month. For those of you who don’t know my story, I made some really poor decisions over the last seven and a half years. This is not the platform for details but I can assure you that I paid for my poor choices. I took responsibility for my wrongs and I accepted my punishment/ reprimands. The last month has been particularly taxing. I’ve been task saturated since I joined the military in 2008 but this last month has definitely been more than I’m used to. It’s been one of the few times where I’ve truly felt overwhelmed, helpless, and defeated. On Tuesday afternoon I met with a counselor for the first time since last August. On the drive home I decided to rally. I’m not going to let these challenges defeat me. I’m going to keep failing and that’s alright. I’ll get up and go at it again until I get the results I want. There are ebbs and flows throughout life. I’ll fight the current when it’s against me and I’ll take advantage of its momentum when it’s with me. Success doesn’t always come easy but if you power through the struggles and failures it can be a certainty.
On another note, I’ve been working on a three bunk bed for my kids over the last week. Using dimensional framing lumber to save money. Standby for photos of the finished product.

If you’re not tracking who Eddie is you should be. You can learn more by googling Eddie Gallagher and/or following his wife Andrea Gallagher . What the UCMJ and the Navy have done to the Gallagher’s is atrocious and quite frankly heart breaking. On a personal note, Eddie is one of my best friends. He put me through training when I was a young sailor and I can honestly say he is and has been one of my biggest idols and greatest mentors. He is one of the greatest warriors I’ve ever met and the accusations against him are completely false! Everyday more evidence is released that proves his innocence (even a video of him providing medical attention to an ISIS fighter) yet he is still being restricted and is awaiting a court martial. His entire family has been plastered all over the media. The Gallagher’s never wanted any of this attention but they’ve stoically absorbed everything this case has forced them to bear. Please follow Eddies case and donate to his legal fund if you’re able to. Long live the REAL brotherhood.
