A Little Bit About Me
Michele L. McIntyre is a Licensed Acupuncturist in California, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and holds a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine degree. She is also completing the National Certification from the Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She formerly co-owned and operated a successful integrative healthcare business for 12 years that offered Chiropractic, Nutrition, Massage, and Acupuncture. Michele has over 30 years of business experience as a business consultant, management, and owner as well as an avocado and citrus grove farmer and owner.
Having had experience working in Pediatrics at Rady’s Children’s Hospital, the underserved populations at various community-style free clinic sites in San Diego County and a Family Recovery Center serving women and children to help overcome mental health issues, corrections, traumas and substance abuse, Michele has helped patients with a variety of conditions and uses the following therapies and techniques: Acupuncture (including auricular), Tui-Na Traditional Chinese manual therapy, Gua-Sha, Cupping, electrical stimulation, nutritional and lifestyle consulting, essential oils, aromatherapy, instruction in proper breathing, stretching and relaxation techniques, energy healing, as well as custom food supplements and herbal support.
Michele has helped patients with a variety of conditions including, but not limited to: Chronic and Acute pain, Emotional Wellness, GI Disorders, Fertility, Sleep Disorders, Diabetes, Inflammatory Diseases, Endocrine Disorders, Urinary Disorders, Headaches, Addictions Weight Management, Smoke Cessation, Stress, Anxiety, Post-Stroke, Pregnancy, Fibromyalgia, Menstrual Disorders, Hormonal Disturbances, Menopause, Geriatric and Pediatric conditions.
Michele is also certified as an Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation practitioner, a Basic DNA Theta Healing Practitioner, and Chiropractic Assistant currently residing in San Diego, CA where she is a proud mother of two daughters and Nana to two granddaughters. Outside of her work as an acupuncturist, Michele’s interest includes supporting the growth of happy and healthy communities, and lots of outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, and camping.
